| Restoring old toys gives some "true" collectors a problem, but when
done correctly, to an old toys that would have been discarded, it is a very good
thing. Finding parts can be difficult, that is why I started restoring a FORD
Mustang, in the early eighties, because parts were easier to find in
my area.
My first large toy restoration was a Farmall
Pedal Tractor from my youth. I almost sold it in a yard sale, but
decided against it. I have restored a few Pedal Cars and they can be just as much work as the real cars sometime. Don't plan on getting rich restoring toys, it needs to be a "labor of love". Restoring Redline Hot Wheels is fun also, but can be time consuming and required very detailed work. I am yet to master the art of the "Spectraflame" colors.
