Major Matt Mason was popular around the world since the "SPACE RACE" was on.  Below are some examples of items made in Germany, Mexico in the sixties & seventies and more currently overseas.

Mexican Version
	Mattel marketed these figures in Mexico under the name "Capitan Meteoro", they were distributed by a toy company called CIPSA in 1967 and were made in Mexico under license by Mattel. This is a 6 inch tall loose figure, marked on the back of one leg "Hong Kong" (though it was made in Mexico) and on his back with "1966 Mattel, Inc. US and Foreign Patents Pending". He is a bit different from his US counterpart; his body is made of a stiffer rubber that is solid white with red paint, he is wearing silver boots and he has a slightly lighter facial complexion.
